Volunteer with The Horder Centre
Are you interested in volunteering and meeting people?
We are looking for new volunteers and you may be just the person we are looking for ….
We have many different volunteer roles and we are sure there is something for you – we are currently recruiting for:
- Coffee Shop
o We have a brand new coffee shop that is open to patients and visitors at the hospital and to the local community
o The role includes serving customers and helping to maintain the customer area of the coffee shop
o This is a very sociable role as you will be interacting with visitors, patients and other volunteers.
o Volunteers play a very important role in the service we provide in our coffee shop and you would be joining a very friendly and vibrant team.

- Gardeners
o Do you have green fingers? Would you like to offer your skills to the gardens at The Horder Centre?
o As part of our development project we will have landscaped gardens that will be part of the therapy for our patients following treatment
o If you would like to be outdoors and would like to be involved in the maintenance of the gardens please get in touch.

- Events
o Do you enjoy organising night’s outs/day trips/events?
o Would you like to help with administrative tasks including data entry and writing letters?
o We would like to develop a team of volunteers that can organise, run and assist with fundraising events for us
o If you would like to have fun, meet new friends and be part of the events team we would love to hear from you

There are no restrictions on the number of hours you can give but if you would like to volunteer in the coffee shop we would ask that you are able to give a regular commitment. There may be other roles available not listed here so please do get in touch if you would like to join us.
There are no qualifications required and any necessary training will be given.

We will ask you to attend an interview and all volunteers must have a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check regardless of the role.
