Volunteer Opportunities at The Horder Centre
Volunteer Opportunities
The Horder Centre are looking to recruit volunteers in many different areas of our hospital. We currently have the following opportunities:
Fundraising
Would you like to be involved in organising and attending fundraising events? We would welcome volunteers in our fundraising and events team to assist with ongoing events. With a volunteer team it would also give us the opportunity to organise even more events that are crucial to our fundraising efforts. There are various roles that you could volunteer in, which include; organising events, promotion of events including creating posters and leaflets, assisting with the sale of Christmas cards and assisting on the day of events.

Other volunteer roles currently available include:
- Maintenance
- Driving
- Patient trolley service*
*Eventually this role will include working in our new coffee shop.
Click on the relevant role above to download a description of the volunteer role available. These areas will be updated for you on a regular basis.
Volunteering is an ideal opportunity to meet people, make new friends and develop new skills. It could even lead to employment or a new career. If there is anything you would like to contribute that is not listed here, please do not hesitate to contact us – all volunteers are welcome and we may be able to utilise your skills in the area that you would like to volunteer.
We have created a volunteer framework where you will be fully supported, which outlines what we expect from our volunteers and, more importantly, what our volunteers can expect from us.
We are keen to utilise volunteers in areas that meet their skills and interests and that fit with our needs. In order to ensure that this happens we would invite you to an informal interview to establish both your expectations and ours.
We would value your contribution and you would be helping us to continue to make a positive difference to the lives of our patients. We offer a full induction, travel expenses, free parking and free drinks.
To find out more about any of our volunteer opportunities please contact Angela Reynolds, Events Coordinator, on 01892 665577 or at angela.reynolds@horder.co.uk.
