Medically Insured Private Patient

The first thing to do is to contact your insurance company to check that you are covered for your proposed treatment programme - including outpatient attendance - and they will advise you as to the next steps.

Prior to arranging your first appointment, you will need a referral letter from your GP. When you attend your first outpatient appointment, you will be asked for your claim form, as provided by your insurance company, in order for us to obtain confirmation that you are covered.

Should your treatment programme require you to be admitted to The Horder Centre, we will ensure that your claim form is completed by the Consultant. We do recommend that you make provision for sundry items such as telephone calls, meals for visitors and newspapers, which will need to be paid for prior to your departure.

Payment for your treatment and care will be requested directly from your insurance company who will inform you of any insurance excesses or shortfalls accordingly.
