Diane Thomas, Chief Executive
Diane Thomas has been Chief Executive of The Horder Centre since 2001 following eight years as a Hospital Manager, running independent Centres. Her background is firmly rooted in the nursing profession - including ten years as a Matron as well as a Nursing Officer and Senior Sister in the NHS.

Karen Planterose, Director of Operations
Karen Planterose joined The Horder Centre in 2001 as Business Manager and was appointed Director of Operations in 2004. Her background is in managing nursing establishments with a particular focus on Business Development and Marketing.

Mike Fordyce, Chair of Medical Advisory Committee
Mike Fordyce has been an orthopaedic surgeon for over 24 years and joined The Horder Centre in 1995. In April 2006 he agreed to be Chair of the Centre's Medical Advisory Committee. This role not only ensures that Clinical Governance is maintained at all times but also provides an important interface between the Centre's management and staff.
Mr Fordyce qualified in 1980 with MBBS in London, the FRCS in Edinburgh and the Kent & Sussex Hospital. He joined the GMC Specialist register in 1993 and holds a number of professional memberships with organisations such as the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Medical Association and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Rachel Ward, Director of Clinical Services
Rachel joined the Horder Centre in April 2008 as Director of Clinical Services. Rachel has previously held senior management positions within the Independent sector for 13 years having spent 5 years as a Matron for BUPA and a further 8 years with Nuffield Hospitals. Rachel has a particular interest in quality and risk management and has been an auditor for the Kings Fund and ISO9002.

Paul Reynolds, Medical Director
Dr Reynolds has been a Consultant Physician at the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust since 1993 and served as Clinical Director at the Trust until 2007, a post he held for 10 years.
Dr Reynolds has been associated with The Horder Centre for more than three years as a visiting Consultant Physician, and worked closely with the Centre's former Medical Director, Kenneth Tuson. Dr Reynolds was appointed as Medical Director at The Horder Centre upon the retirement of Ken Tuson in 2009 and will now use his considerable experience and knowledge of working in the health sector to advise on key decisions around clinical governance and the strategic direction of the hospital.
As new Medical Director, he will also advise on how best The Horder Centre should adopt new policies introduced nationally by the Department of Health.
