Exciting new shoes added to Celebrity Shoe Auction

We have some exciting new shoes to add to our Celebrity Shoe Auction!

 

Make sure you take part 8th July – 15th July 2012  and bid for your favourite pair.

We have managed to secure shoes from famous authors, sports stars and local celebrities and will be auctioning the exciting selection of shoes in a week long auction starting on 8th July 2012 on eBay. All money raised will create several new woodland trails which will be built in the hospital grounds. One of the trails will be adapted for the disabled and another will have outdoor gym equipment and both will be open, not only to patients, but to local schools and the community.  For further updates please follow us on Twitter @thehordercentre or contact our Fundraising team on 01892 665577.  

  Kim Wilde

Kim Wilde first launched into the limelight in 1981 with her mega hit “The Kids in America” which reached high chart positions both here in the UK and in the USA. Numerous hits have followed and clearly not content with just being a huge pop star, she is also a landscape gardener, author and TV host.  Kim will be busy touring throughout Europe this summer so be sure to catch her!

Kim has donated a fantastic pair of French Connection heels to the auction.  Both shoes have been autographed. EUR 41/ UK size 7. Happy bidding!

 

 

 

 Ashley Jackson (Signed Boots)

Ashley will be playing a starring role in the hockey team for Great Britain in the upcoming Olympics.  Ashley played for the England Hockey Premier League club East Grinstead, making his 1st team debut in September 2003 at the age of 16, he then moved to Holland in 2008 and played professionally for club side HGC. He is now back playing for East Grinstead in the English Premier League. We wish Ashley and the team all the best for the Olympics and are so grateful that he’s taken the time out to donate a pair of signed hockey boots.

 

 

New ! Dame Vera Lynn

Dame Vera Lynn, DBE  is an English singer-songwriter and actress whose musical recordings and performances were enormously popular during World War II.

During the war she toured Egypt, India and Burma, giving outdoor concerts for the troops. She became known, and is still referred to, as “The Forces’ Sweetheart”; the songs most associated with her are “We’ll Meet Again”, “The White Cliffs of Dover” and “There’ll Always Be an England”.

Dame Vera has donated a beautiful pair of 1930’s style shoes in a size EUR 39 ½ UK 6. This is a must for any vintage lover!

 

 

Adam Garcia

A must for any dance or Adam Garcia Fan. These shoes have seen a lot of dancing in their day! Includes a letter of authenticity signed by Adam Garcia. We are hugely excited to have his support and he has donated not one, but two pairs of dance shoes for you to bid on!! The other shoes are a pair of tap shoes which are listed under Item nr:261062260727.

Adam Garcia is a dancer, worldwide movie star and current judge on ‘Got to Dance’. He has appeared in films such as ‘Coyote Ugly’ and ‘Riding in Cars with Boys’ as well as in top West End musicals like ‘Wicked’, ‘Saturday Night Fever’ and ‘Grease’. Adam is a multi talented artist who is renowned for his dancing and especially tap dancing skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nick Knowles

Nick Knowles’s Worn Boots, from Magnum, Size 10, 100% Authentic. Used but in very good condition.

Nick is the witty and charming presenter of BBC’s programme ‘DIY SOS’ which helps families transform their homes from diy disasters to desirable homes again. He briefly pursued careers in rugby, music and acting before discovering his passion for writing, directing and presenting TV. We are delighted he has agreed to donate these boots to support a local charity. Who knows, DIY miracles may well have been performed in these!

 

 

 Gary Barlow

 Gary Barlow signed tailor made Oliver Sweeney Jubilee shoes Size 10 - 100% authentic

Specially created and inscribed for the Queens Jubilee. Gary Barlow has kindly donated these shoes to our “Celebrity Shoe Auction” that were specially made for the Jubilee 2012 celebrations. One shoe is signed ‘Love Gary’ and the other shoe is inscribed with a 2012 Union Jack and the first lines of the Jubilee song ‘ Sing’. Inscription reads ‘ Some words they can’t be spoken only song, so here a thousand voices shouting love’.

Includes signed letter of authenticity and Oliver Sweeney shoebox and shoebags.

 

 Naomi Lay

Naomi Lay was a contestant on series 3 of ‘The Apprentice’

In addition to the beautiful shoes, Naomi has included a promotion card which is signed. She has also written a lovely message to the shoes new owners. Card reads:  ‘I hope you enjoy these shoes, worn a couple of times by me, but also presented/sold by me on QVC-a job I started doing as a result of The Apprentice”. With love, Naomi xxx
