Professional Profile
Mr Keast-Butler’s medical training commenced in 1991 at Manchester University Medical School. Whilst at University, Mr Keast-Butler was made a Senate Committee Representative and Vice President of the Medical Student Society.
Following his graduation in 1996, he worked as a Senior House Officer and Specialist Registrar in the Guy’s and St Thomas’ rotation, gaining a diverse range of experience in lower and upper limb orthopaedic surgery.
Mr Keast-Butler was awarded the Fred Heatley research medal for most original paper in 2005.
He completed his fellowship year in Denver, Colorado and Toronto, Canada where he honed his interests, particularly in the field of primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, computer navigated surgery and trauma surgery.
He has been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Conquest hospital for two years and has been practicing at The Horder Centre for about eighteen months. He has specialised in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery and also in dealing with complicated lower limb fractures, non-unions and fractures around joint replacements.
Personal Profile
Oliver Keast-Butler is married to a doctor and has a young family so when not at work, is generally busy. In the past he was a scuba diving instructor and still enjoys some diving, predominately in Scotland. He also enjoys wood-turning and furniture making.
